It connects your recorder to a telephone line using your tape-deck/digital recorder's microphone jack for recording. You can also use this unit with a recorder's earphone jack for playback.A minor snag is that the Tt System Tele-recorder Adapter only records the one channel of audio so that if for some reason you want a stereo result this unit probably isn't for you. For most people this isn't an issue.
